Swatch & Review: MAC lipstick Shanghai Spice and Freckletone

Shanghai spice is described as a "frosted neutral pink" and has the cremesheen finish. The shimmers are quite subtle.

The formula gives 2-3 hours of wear. It feels comfortable on the lips but does cling to dry patches a bit. Exfoliating beforehand helps.

Freckletone is described as "Full-frontal neutral peach". It is a warm-toned nude peach with semi sheer to semi opaque coverage.

The lustre finish is slightly glossy and allows some of your natural lip colour to show through, hence the colour you end up with may vary.

I get about 2 hours of wear time with this one. Like Shanghai spice it also tends to catch onto dry patches. Both lipsticks have a mild vanilla scent.

R: Shanghai Spice; L: Freckletone

Both are very nice nude lipsticks but personally I like Shanghai Spice a little more. The slight orange/brown undertone in Freckletone doesn't quite suit my skintone as well as Shanghai spice. Both shades are permanent.

Thank you for reading!
